I am Iia-Elisabeth Suomi, an Aquatic Biologist and a City Council and Welfare County Council candidate from Tampere.
I want to make sure that the well-being of the environment and people gets the weight it deserves in city council’s and wellbeing services county’s decision-making. My professional skills as an environmental specialist, as well as the insight into the social and health sector that I have gained through my close circle, provide me with a strong foundation to develop my hometown and welfare area in a sustainable direction.
I believe that multidisciplinary, networked specialists are needed in politics and councils to make decisions based on researched information, and I am ready to harness my own expertise for the common good.
I want to be proud of my roots in the city of Tampere now and in the future, and be involved in building a better, more responsible and even more attractive place to live for all of us.

In the Welfare County Council I promise to
Promote the availability of preventive help and sufficient resources for families with children.
Seek for solutions to reduce the burden on the social work and health care sector and to increase the sector’s traction and holding power.
Drive a sufficient scope and equality of the therapy guarantee for all ages.
